Video Games...

I miss sitting next to someone while they play video games. I always found it really interesting seeing how people play out and react to different situations in a game. It always sparked quite interesting conversations over how it should be played and what the correct way should be. Plus, it was was amusing when the other person failed at something…but then it would cause another interesting conversation over how that something could be avoided or overcome.

Sitting next to someone playing video games has been one of my favourite things to do over the last few years. As much as I love playing games and playing out the story of any game. I much much much prefer to watch someone else play. I don’t know why really, but I just love it.

And I miss it so dearly.

At the moment I’m watching youtubers (Game Grumps and Markiplier) doing playthroughs. Each of them have different styles and it’s really really entertaining to watch.

But, it’s not the same.

I’m not able to join in the conversations over the game play, the graphics, what should happen next or whatever (there is one way that I could, but I don’t have the money to do that unfortunately). I’m not able to experience the game at the same time in the same room as them. I have to watch hours later after they have uploaded to the interwebs.

I just really miss it.

It’s my favourite thing to do with another human being, like I don’t need to go out to a bar or a club or whatever. I’m perfectly happy sitting at home in front of a console under a blanket drinking tea and watching someone play games.

Even thinking about it and knowing that I’m not able to do it for a while, makes me kind of sad.

Until the day that I can sit next to someone and laugh as they die over and over and over at the hands of some super difficult boss, I shall stick with the Game Grumps and Markiplier because those guys are amazing and play the best games! :)

Stay spooky

These boots are made for walking...

So comfy!
Platform boots are a big staple within the Goth and Metal community for both male and female and whatever one identifies as!

There's so many styles that exist from a variety of companies; such as Demonia, New Rock and T.U.K, to name a few, each havig their own signature style that work for different occasions.

My personal favourite are from Demonia. They were the first ever platforms I owned and I have loved the company ever since! They are always bringing out new and fantastic collections that blow me away everytime!

It's just a shame that I dont have the space!

As much as I love platforms, there are pros and cons to each of them! Don't worry, I won't go through every single platform you can get, as I would be here forever typing and you would just get
Life goals right here!
bored of reading!

Pros

  • The make any outfit just fucking badass! Plain tshirt and jeans, add platforms and BOOM! badass bitch!
  • They make it easier to see over people. The amount of times I've gone to gigs and someone just stands right in front of me is crazy! But, with an extra 5" it's not a problem!
  • People compliment you!
    They just look epic!
  • You can never have enough pairs! They'll all look different...unless you buy two of the same pair...
  • Puddles don't affect you! At this year's Bloodstock Open Air, it rained heavily for the first time in a while and there were puddles and mud everywhere! But luckily I had my boots and I was dry as a bone! My boots did need a good clean afterwards though!
  • They're better for you than flat ballet pumps. I can spend a good 20 hours in my boots before it starts getting a bit achey, where as I can only usually last a couple hours and then feel it for up to 2 or 3 days later!
  • There's differing styles and heights for your own individual style
  • They're idealat gigs, as it means no onecan stand on your feet when they're pushing past you!
Cons
  • They can be a little on the expensive side! That is is you go for the big name brands, but you might find a deal on eBay!
  • If you fall, you've got a lot way to go! It can also end up in a serious injury if you're not
careful! Always use a rail when walking downstairs or you might end up in a first aid room, like I did at a gig! My ankle still hurts after 8 months!
  • If you're a mosher, it's not so easy!
  • Public transport is not your friend,I've hit my head on a bus roof too many times!
  • You will get a lot of people staring at you
  • Sometime the fastening can break, which will cost a pretty penny to fix
  • They take up a lot of space
That's just a few of the good things and bad things about platform boots, I have no doubt that there are way more than I have put! If you've got any, pop them in the comments down below!

Even though there are several downsides to having and wearing platforms, I still have a major love for them. There's just something about them that just give me way more confidence whenwalking around town.

Let me know what your favourite platform company and why you love them! I love hearing other people's views!

And just remember...

Stay spooky!

Hello and welcome!

Welcome to my blog.

My name is...well, I suppose it doesn't really matter what my name is... But, if you're needing a name, you may simply call me 'B'.

This blog is a place for me to share my thoughts and opinions, as well as maybe the odd review of different things.

Although I can guarantee that something on here may upset somone...

Firstly, it is not my intention.

Secondly, welcome to the internet!

But, hopefully you'll enjoy your stay regardless of this!!

Stay spooky!
